Welcome to the Social Data Science Base Camp.
To get to know you and your familiarity with programming, we've developed this startup quiz. Please answer all questions about your experience by Monday lunchtime of orientation week.
We use the quiz to get a sense of the overall distribution of experience in the class and to create groups with approximately similar levels of ease with programming. Therefore, it is important that you answer the questions as accurately as possible without under-reporting or exaggerating your experience, to avoid being placed in a group with much less or much more experience than yourself.
As the SDS Base Camp is an introductory course, there is no expectation of any experience, so don't worry if there are terms or phrases in the quiz that you are not (yet) familiar with.
