5. Merging and editing codes

As you read and code, your code structure will grow, with more parent and children codes which visualise the hierarchy between the themes in your review.

Your codes should be exclusive, and at times you may find out that codes overlap and all the information might as well be merged into one code.

How to merge codes

1. Select the code(s) you want to merge into an existing code.
2. Right-click the selected item(s), choose Cut.
3. Right-click the code you want to merge with, select Merge Into Selected Code.

How to edit a code
If you want to change the name of a code or add more details in the description you need to work with the "Code Properties"

1. Right-click the code name and select Code Properties.
2. Edit code properties in the pop-up box.

How to delete a code

1. Right-click the code name and select Delete.
2. If you delete by mistake, use Ctrl + z before you do any other actions in your project.
